Beta Club

A prestigious organization that recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, strong character, and a positive attitude. Students in grades 4–8 may be invited to join if they have at least a 90 overall average and no grade lower than 80 on their end-of-year report card or first semester grades, with 4th–5th graders joining Elementary Beta and 6th–8th graders joining Junior Beta. To remain in Beta Club, members must maintain at least a 90 average each grading period with no grade lower than 80; if a student falls below these requirements, they will be placed on probation, and a second occurrence will result in removal from Beta Club for the remainder of the year. Members may also be removed if they are suspended from the bus or school, referred to the office twice, removed from the classroom twice, or if the Principal and Beta Club sponsors determine their actions are severe enough to warrant removal. Beta Club’s motto, “Let us lead by serving others,” reflects its mission as members participate in service projects that benefit the school and community while also building leadership skills through training and involvement.
