Media Center

Hello! I’m Ms. Victoria Newkirk, and I’m proud to call Duplin County home! As a graduate of Wallace-Rose Hill High School, it’s especially meaningful to continue serving the community that helped shape me.

After more than a decade in the classroom, I now have the privilege of serving as the Digital Learning & Media Coordinator at Kenansville Elementary School. I’m a licensed 6–12 Social Studies educator with a B.A. in History from UNC Pembroke and a Master’s in Library & Information Science from UNC Greensboro.

For me, the KES Media Center is about so much more than books. My goal is to create a space where students feel welcome to read, explore, create, ask questions, try new things, and discover what excites them.

Our doors aren’t just open to students! Families and community members are an important part of what we do. If you’d like to volunteer, partner with the Media Center, support one of our programs, or simply have a great idea to promote literacy and learning at KES, I’d love to hear from you.
